The Importance of Title Tags

06.10.2008

Title tags are the simplest and most effective way to increase page ranks, search engine placement and website traffic.
We have all have performed Google searches. What websites come up when you Google a term like “Los Angeles Escorts” or “Foot Fetish Porn”?
The #1 result for “foot fetish porn” is FootFetish.org:

Foot Fetish Porn - Update every day

The #1 result for “Los Angeles escort” is the Eros Guide:

Los Angeles Escorts, BDSM, Massage and More! - Eros Guide to Los
Find Los Angeles escorts, Los Angeles Shemales, independent and escort agencies and more on the Eros Guide to Los Angeles Adult Entertainment.

Notice that the keyword term you search for is in the title and in the description (the first 160 characters) of the website. Don’t neglect your title tags, the are the first step in successful SEO.

Three Adult Marketing Mistakes

06.07.2008

I spend a lot of time on adult webmaster forums and reading articles; what I found has reinforced what I believe is wrong in properly marketing adult pay sites, escort sites and online stores.
1. An adult website can’t properly market itself or achieve its goals because there is an issue with its content.

When adult entertainers and webmasters launch new sites, there is usually too much content. There are thousands of photos and movies that cover multiple genres - foot fetish, amateur porn, water sports, erotica and lesbian themes, etc. All of this content on one site is wrong. There is no focus and there are too many things going on to effectively market the site and achieve top search engine placement. Can you image the list of short and long tail keyword terms a site like this? It would be the longest title tag in the universe, guaranteed to wrap around the Earth at least twice. Therefore, there can be no real success.

Instead, pick one thing and one theme and market the crap out of it. Strive to be #1 in it. Do your homework, spend a few weeks studying the sites you want to rival and that dominate the current search engine rankings. Is there a trend or trend/theme you seem in them? Are they capitalizing on trend/theme? If they are not, go and own it, make that trend the reason your site stands above and apart from its competition; capitalize on what they missed. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to find something unique, just a little cunning know how.

Niche Marketing & Adult Content

06.03.2008

Background: Adult Marketing & The Rest of The World
When it comes to marketing, search engine optimization and web design, it seems there is ADULT and the rest of the world. There appears to be no real correlation and there are many mainstream marketers who make fun of “supposed adult online/SEO marketers.” They don’t take us seriously and think that the only SEO & marketing techniques we are privy to are link scams and black hat techniques. Well that is not true.
Standards: Adult Marketers Define New Online Marketing Strategy
There are marketers, such as myself, that do not come from strictly adult backgrounds. We are successful mainstream marketers and have advanced degrees in business, design and entertainment. We have refined our design and marketing approaches to become the culmination of our adult & mainstream skills. By utilizing a holistic approach to our marketing strategy, we are redefining what adult marketing is and we are now setting the standards for how mainstream marketers conduct campaigns. Porn is no longer just porn, its adult entertainment with many different outlets. There is erotic film made by women for women and there is specialized “kink” that caters to specific fetishes. Those mediums don’t fall under the traditional definitions of porn and they are not sub-sects or off-shoots of it. They are their own form of adult entertainment. Mainstream marketers have always used sex to sell products. You want to be accepted, you want to be hip, beautiful and desired? BUY THIS? Ummm - where did they ever get that idea that sex sells? Most of the sexual concepts or undertones in advertisements today are taken straight from adult content.

  1. Agent Provacateur’s latest European advertising campaign features Femme Domme outfits on beautiful, yet domineering, models. Riding whips, proper camera angles and all.
  2. Music video vixen Vita Guerrera’s website looks like that of an upscale escort (it even has legal disclaimers that she is not).
